Quality Control Executive Fresher – Restaurant and Bakery

Location: Kerala

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing and monitoring food safety and quality systems in the cake production and café operations.
  • Support daily quality inspections of raw materials, ingredients, packaging materials, and finished bakery products.
  • Ensure compliance with FSSAI regulations, GMP, GHP, and basic HACCP principles across production and service areas.
  • Monitor personal hygiene, sanitation, and cleaning practices of kitchen, bakery, and service staff.
  • Conduct routine checks on temperature control (chillers, freezers, ovens, display units) and maintain records.

  • Assist in maintaining production, quality, sanitation, and traceability records as per company standards.
  • Support internal audits, hygiene inspections, and corrective action follow-ups.
  • Report any quality deviations, non-conformances, or food safety risks to the Quality Manager or Supervisor.
  • Assist in shelf-life checks, product labeling verification, and allergen control practices.
  • Support pest control monitoring and documentation.
  • Participate in basic food safety training and awareness programs for production and service staff.
  • Coordinate with production, kitchen, and store teams to ensure consistent product quality and customer safety.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Food Technology, Food Science, Hotel Management, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • Freshers are welcome; internship or academic exposure to food safety or bakery operations is an added advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of food hygiene, GMP, HACCP, and FSSAI food safety standards.
  • Willingness to learn quality control processes in bakery, cake production, and café restaurant environments.
  • Good observation skills with attention to detail.
  • Basic documentation and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with kitchen and service teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) for report preparation.
  • Knowledge of local food safety practices in Kerala is an advantage.
  • Ability to work in shifts and handle routine shop-floor activities.
  • Positive attitude, strong learning mindset, and team-oriented approach.
  • Certification in Food Safety / Hygiene (FSSAI FoSTaC) is an added advantage.
  • Interest in bakery, pastry, cake production, and café operations.
  • Ability to handle pressure during peak production or service hours.
  • Commitment to maintaining high food safety and quality standards.
