A global food and beverage company that specialises in snacks, biscuits, chocolate, gum, candy, and powdered beverages is looking for a Quality Assurance Support for Manama, Bahrain Location with the following:
Job Responsibilities
As a QA Support, you will be responsible for ensuring that quality systems, compliance requirements, and food safety standards are effectively implemented and maintained. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Quality System Support
- Assist in maintaining and improving the site’s Quality Management System (QMS) through the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle.
- Support documentation control, including updating quality policies, amendments, and managing internal and external documentation.
- Ensure effective change management processes for quality documentation and policies.
- Audits & Compliance
- Participate in internal audits and help ensure audit readiness across departments.
- Support Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) management, ensuring timely closure and effectiveness checks.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies during inspections and act as the main contact point for follow-ups.
- Consumer Complaints Handling
- Manage the end-to-end consumer complaints process, including recording, investigating, resolving, and reporting.
- Ensure complaints are addressed in compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Laboratory & Testing Activities
- Conduct laboratory testing and online quality checks for raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods.
- Support inspection, sampling, and testing of incoming materials to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Oversee finished goods review, approval, and release based on compliance standards.
- Inventory & Equipment Management
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspection results, hold/release records, and inventory status.
- Ensure timely calibration, verification, and maintenance of laboratory and quality control equipment.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders in the Supply Chain to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Coordinate eQCMS bi-annual reviews and management reviews to align with corporate quality standards.
Job Qualifications – QA Support
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following education, skills, and competencies:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biological Sciences, or Chemical Engineering.
- Experience & Technical Skills:
- Prior experience in a laboratory or food manufacturing quality role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, audits, and documentation practices.
- Experience in handling laboratory testing, sampling, and inspection procedures for raw materials and finished goods.
- Good understanding of equipment calibration, verification, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Core Competencies:

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow written instructions and standard procedures.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
