A Catering company in Abu Dhabi, UAE is looking for a Quality Assurance Officer -Hygiene with the following:

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring all areas in Catering, Abu Dhabi of Food production is comply with State regulatory guidelines.
  • Oversees coordination and documentation of the food safety training programs to include: third-party audits, sanitation, microbiology, Equipment Calibration, pest control, HACCP, GMP, SOPs, and Internal Audit of Catering, Abu Dhabi regulations.
  • Responsible for document control, including overseeing of the development, review and maintenance of all quality and food safety systems, including HACCP, procedures, methods, work instructions, specifications and records.
  • Responsibility for participating, developing, maintaining and reviewing the food safety program.
  • Ensures the proper monitoring of all components of Food Safety Systems.
  • Handling Audits and inspections from External suppliers and regulatory authorities.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify any potential food safety hazards and take corrective actions as needed.

  • Stay up to date on the latest regulatory requirements, and constantly re-assess company standards.
  • Investigate any incidents of foodborne illness or food contamination and take corrective actions to prevent future occurrences
  • Organize training needs as it relates to Food Safety & Hygiene.
  • Monitor and verify that all food safety procedures are being followed by employees, including checking food temperatures, inspecting equipment, and verifying that cleaning procedures are being followed.
  • Maintain cleaning and sanitization of the food production area in Catering.
  • Handling unit maintenance-related work and follow up.
  • Performs other duties as requested by Management.

Safety & Security

  • Maintain and update Airport security program and Manage Fire safety procedures.
  • Maintain the Security Access system with a scheduled Preventive Maintenance program to ensure that the system is working properly.
  • Ensure all catering staff have Company Access card and Airport passes.
  • Manage catering Supplier/visitor, log in/ log out procedure.
  • Organize staff Aviation Security Awareness Training.
  • Maintain Food Transportation procedure.
  • Ensure all Access doors and security systems are working properly in the unit and office areas.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality & Hygiene, specifically in food production and safety.
