A leading Food and Beverage Company in Abu Dhabi, UAE is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager:

Responsibilities

  • A Quality Assurance Manager – Food Lead the QA & FS team to control and ensure all incomings, in process, final Quality, Process audit and Customer support.
  • Ensure Quality Manual, procedure, and work guidelines are followed, and changes are done as per controlled system.
  • Validate and be responsible for quality assurance of the raw materials, finished products and packaging and to ensure that all the products comply with the company’s standard Specifications.
  • Perform regular Quality checks of factories, warehouses, storing containers and ensuring they all comply with company’s standards.
  • Perform quality assurance audits to ensure that the organization meets industry standards for best practices.
  • Keep senior management updated on significant developments that are identified during Quality Assurance activities.
  • Schedule and conduct onsite vendor food safety and quality assessments through collaboration with Internal Stakeholders for new potential vendors.
  • Highlight best practices of food safety across teams and deliver training sessions for the whole organization.
  • Support the government bodies in the food safety audits.
  • Review results of the food safety tests to ensure that they meet established standards specifications and process optimization to improve results.
  • Develop and evolve food safety and quality risk assessment criteria and supplier qualification programs, Lead HACCP and Food Safety Plans as needed. Maintain HACCP program, pest control program and conduct crisis management and mock recalls.

Qualifications

  • University degree in food technology/food science/micro-biology or related.
  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in food manufacturing industry and 2-3 years in a managerial position
  • Preferred food & dates industry experience.
  • Knowledge of food safety mitigation processing techniques to reduce microbial, chemical, and foreign material hazards.
  • Excellent knowledge of HACCP, HARPC, FSSAI and experience in implementation of Food Safety Management Plans
  • Strong knowledge of food safety procedures.
