A fast Food Chain in Chennai, India, is looking for a Quality Assurance Executive with the following:
Job Responsibilities
- Quality Compliance: Monitor and ensure strict adherence to company quality standards and regulatory requirements across all stages of production, from raw material handling to packaging and storage.
- Inspections & Audits: Conduct routine inspections and audits of raw materials, in-process goods, finished products, and storage areas to ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, ISO, and FSSAI standards.
- Process Monitoring: Collaborate closely with Production and Warehouse teams to identify deviations in processes and promptly implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of quality checks, test results, non-conformities, corrective actions, and customer complaints in line with audit and regulatory requirements.
- Issue Resolution: Investigate quality-related issues, customer complaints, and non-conformities, and lead the resolution process to prevent recurrence.
- Continuous Improvement: Work with the Production, R&D, and Supply Chain teams to identify opportunities for improving product quality, reducing defects, and enhancing operational efficiency.
- Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits conducted by regulatory authorities, certification bodies, and clients to ensure successful compliance outcomes.
- Training & Development: Conduct regular training sessions for staff on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), hygiene practices, food safety, and quality protocols to build a culture of quality and safety awareness.
Job Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
- Experience: 2–5 years of proven experience in Quality Assurance (QA) or Quality Control (QC) within the FMCG, food processing, or beverage manufacturing sector.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of FSSAI regulations, ISO 22000 standards, HACCP principles, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to maintain high-quality standards.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to create and maintain clear documentation.
- Teamwork & Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional work environment, working collaboratively with diverse teams to achieve quality objectives.
