An FMCG, Spices Food Condiment company in Dubai, UAE, is looking for a Quality Assurance Assistant Manager with the following:
Job Responsibilities
- Training and Team Development:
Oversee the training and development of quality control personnel. Provide ongoing coaching and ensure all team members are well-versed in quality procedures, food safety protocols, inspection techniques, and the use of digital tools such as SAP ERP. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability across the QA team. - Integration with SAP ERP Systems:
Work in close collaboration with the SAP ERP team to ensure quality data is accurately recorded, tracked, and reported in real-time. Utilize the system to streamline quality documentation, monitor KPIs, and support traceability and recall readiness.

- Certification and Regulatory Liaison:
Serve as the primary point of contact with external quality certification bodies (e.g., ISO, FSSC, ESMA). Facilitate audits, maintain documentation, and ensure timely renewals of all required certifications. Stay informed on changes to industry regulations and proactively adapt QA practices to maintain compliance. - Cross-Functional Communication and Reporting:
Coordinate with other departments including production, procurement, R&D, and supply chain to ensure quality expectations are clearly understood and achieved. Present QA findings and recommendations to management and cross-functional teams, contributing to strategic decision-making.
Job Qualifications
In-Depth Knowledge of Food Safety and Quality Standards:
Expertise in HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, GMP, and other relevant standards. Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable quality systems.
Analytical and Technical Proficiency:
Skilled in using laboratory and analytical tools for testing raw materials, in-process items, and finished products. Competent in leveraging SAP ERP for quality data input, trend analysis, and report generation.
Problem Solving and Corrective Action Management:
Strong ability to identify root causes of quality issues, implement corrective and preventive measures, and evaluate the effectiveness of changes to prevent recurrence.
Risk Assessment and Compliance Management:
Capable of performing detailed food safety risk analyses, preparing for third-party audits, and ensuring all quality documentation is audit-ready and compliant with internal and external standards.
Communication and Collaboration Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present quality data, influence stakeholders, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and certification bodies effectively.
