The Quality Assistant supports the Senior Quality Manager by monitoring and inspecting the implementation of the quality system across all departments. The role involves ensuring that all quality records are accurately maintained, procedures are adhered to, and corrective actions are implemented when necessary. The position requires active participation in daily quality checks and handling any quality-related issues as they arise.
Job Responsibilities
- Quality System Compliance: Conduct daily random checks across departments to verify that all work procedures and forms are correctly followed as per the company’s quality system.
- Procedure Monitoring: Identify and report any practices that deviate from documented procedures, ensuring that non-compliance is addressed promptly.
- Corrective Action Support: Assist senior Quality staff in verifying the implementation of corrective actions for non-conformance reports (NCRs) and help identify long-term solutions for recurring issues.
- Product and Process Inspections: Inspect flights, meals, products, or processes as directed by senior Quality staff to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Shift Leadership: Represent senior Quality staff as needed on a 24-hour basis, following the approved roster, to ensure continuous quality monitoring.
- Complaint Handling: Report any customer or operational complaints during your shift to senior Quality staff for further investigation and resolution.
- Documentation Adherence: Follow the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Policy, ensuring that all tasks and responsibilities are executed in alignment with documented departmental procedures.
- General Support: Perform other duties related to quality functions as assigned by senior Quality staff, contributing to the overall improvement of quality standards.
Job Qualifications
- Education:
O or A Level in a relevant discipline or equivalent qualification (mandatory). - Work Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality Control function within an ISO-regulated environment.
- Must have completed on-the-job training and mandatory quality control-related training programs.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical skills to assess and improve quality processes.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively report and communicate findings to both senior staff and team members.
- Interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with different departments and handle non-conformance issues tactfully.
