Quality and Hygiene Officer vacancy at a leading hospitality brand in Dubai UAE, seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Quality and Hygiene Officer to ensure the highest standards of quality, food safety, and hygiene across the hotel’s operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance with international certifications, brand standards, and UAE food safety regulations.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections, assessments, and verifications related to quality, hygiene, and food safety throughout all hotel departments.
- Prepare detailed reports on findings and follow-up actions, ensuring issues are accurately documented and resolved in a timely manner.
- Monitor compliance with Rixos Hotels UAE Quality Management Standards as well as the hotel’s certified management systems including:
ISO 9001, ISO 10002, ISO 14001, TS EN 15288-2, ISO 22000, GSTC, IBCCES CAC, and all local food safety laws (Dubai Municipality/Abu Dhabi ADPHC as applicable).
Internal & External Audit Management – Quality and Hygiene Officer Dubai
- Participate in and support Accor – Rixos Hotels UAE cross-internal audits, ensuring all required documentation and corrective actions are maintained.
- Conduct supplier audits to evaluate food safety practices, quality assurance procedures, and compliance with hotel and regulatory standards.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date audit records for internal and external review.
Laboratory Sampling & Reporting
- Carry out regular laboratory sampling of food, water, ice, environmental swabs, and other required items.
- Coordinate with accredited laboratories for testing and ensure timely analysis, interpretation, and reporting of results.
- Implement corrective actions where laboratory findings require improvement.
- Develop and deliver training sessions related to quality management, hygiene standards, sustainability practices, and food safety systems.
- Maintain proper documentation of training attendance, effectiveness, and periodic refresher sessions.
Sustainability
- Support the hotel’s sustainability initiatives, ensuring compliance with environmental and social responsibility programs.
- Complete any other tasks assigned by the Quality & Sustainability Department Management.
- Report directly to the Quality & Sustainability Manager.
Job Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering, Food Technology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or any related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a 4-star or 5-star hotel within the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, ISO standards, UAE food safety laws, and hospitality quality systems like Accor.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and training skills.
