An Arabic Foods processing company in Sharjah UAE is looking for a Quality Analyst with the following:

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor Food Safety and Quality Compliance:
    Ensure adherence to food safety management systems including HACCP, ISO 22000, GSO, GMP, and BRCGS across all operations of Arabic Foods processing
  • Conduct Routine Quality Checks:
    Perform inspections of raw materials, packing materials, potable water, in-process checks, and finished goods to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory quality standards.
  • Laboratory Testing & Analysis:
    Carry out tests including oil extraction, free fatty acid (FFA), physical analysis, organoleptic testing, aflatoxin screening, moisture content, ash content, peroxide value, TDS, water hardness, pH, and chlorine levels.
  • Non-Conformity Management:
    Identify, report, and document any non-conformities in products or processes. Collaborate with relevant departments to support root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Documentation and Record Keeping:
    Maintain and regularly update quality assurance records, logs, test reports, and inspection documents in line with audit and regulatory requirements.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration:
    Coordinate with production, procurement, and warehouse teams to ensure quality control standards are integrated into every stage of the supply chain.
  • Audit and Inspection Support:
    Assist in preparing for and facilitating internal, external, and customer audits. Ensure readiness for inspections by UAE regulatory bodies and certification authorities.
  • Training and Awareness:
    Conduct training sessions and toolbox talks for staff on quality assurance procedures, hygiene practices, and food safety protocols to foster a culture of quality.

Job Qualifications

  • Educational Background:
    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Biotechnology, or a closely related field.
  • Experience:
    Minimum 1–2 years of relevant quality assurance experience in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment within the GCC region.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    In-depth understanding of international food safety standards such as HACCP, ISO 22000, BRCGS, GSO, and GMP guidelines.
  • Lab Equipment Proficiency:
    Hands-on experience with lab instruments including soxhlet extractor, incubators, micrometers, muffle furnace, hot air oven, and other analytical tools.
  • Regulatory Familiarity:
    Knowledge of UAE food safety laws and regulations and their practical applications in a food production environment.
  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
    • Teamwork and cross-functional coordination
    • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced setting
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

  • ISO/HACCP Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor Certification
  • Prior experience in high-speed production or food packaging environments
  • Knowledge of shelf-life study methods and statistical quality control (SQC)
