QMS or a Quality Management System company in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia is looking for a Microbiologist with the following :,

Job Responsibilites

  • Perform microbiological tests and analyses with high accuracy, strictly following approved methods, instructions, and established quality standards under the guidance of the Assistant Laboratory Manager or senior laboratory staff.
  • Monitor and maintain laboratory environmental controls, including moisture, temperature, and sterility, ensuring compliance with international standards and internal procedures.
  • Accurately record test results, prepare comprehensive test reports detailing methodologies used, and present findings clearly and professionally.
  • Clean, sterilize, and maintain laboratory equipment; support the calibration and verification of laboratory instruments according to relevant standards and internal protocols.
  • Prepare, sterilize, and manage microbiological media and reagents as per laboratory requirements.
  • Adhere strictly to laboratory procedures to ensure that analytical results are delivered within agreed timelines and meet required QMS, quality benchmarks.
  • Comply with all internal and external quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) regulations, leveraging company policies and industry best practices.
  • Actively participate in Proficiency Testing Programs (PTP) and ensure timely completion of Statistical Quality Control (SQC) checks to maintain laboratory accreditation and quality systems.
  • Assist senior staff and the Laboratory Manager in mentoring and providing on-the-job training to junior laboratory personnel to build internal capabilities and uphold quality standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory by supporting audits, implementing corrective actions, and maintaining documentation in line with ISO/IEC 17025 guidelines.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Microbiology, Laboratory Testing, or a closely related scientific discipline relevant to the specialty area.

  • Demonstrate expertise in operating relevant laboratory instruments and staying updated on technical advancements.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of professional experience in a microbiology laboratory environment, ideally within food safety, training, or consultancy sectors.
  • Ensure timely, precise reporting of test results in accordance with client and business requirements for QMS.
  • Collaborate effectively with the team to monitor processes, deliver training, and ensure the adequacy of laboratory operations.
  • In-depth understanding of laboratory safety practices, HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) principles, and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
  • Proficiency in maintaining laboratory quality standards and ensuring compliance with national and international regulations.
  • Follow management’s directions and contribute proactively to achieving departmental goals and continuous improvement.
  • Apply strong influencing skills to promote and embed good laboratory practices and a culture of quality and safety across the team.
