QA Intern – Fresh Food Opportunity for a QA Intern / QC Intern to support the Quality Assurance and Quality Control operations across a food processing factory and warehouse in Kochi. This role involves hands-on exposure to fresh food and ready-to-cook (RTC) product quality monitoring, hygiene control, packaging verification, temperature monitoring, and food safety documentation.

Employment Type: Full-time Internship / Fresher
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Stipend: Up to ₹7,000 per month
This is a floor-based internship designed for students or fresh graduates who want practical experience in food quality control, hygiene standards, and food safety compliance under the supervision of the QC Executive and Operations Head.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in inspection of incoming raw materials and fresh food products for:
- Freshness and appearance
- Quality grading and specifications
- Visible defects, spoilage, or contamination
- Support in-process quality checks after cutting, cleaning, marination, processing, or preparation.
- Verify portion size, weight accuracy, yield, and product specifications for fresh and RTC products.
- Ensure products are clean, safe, and suitable for further processing, packing, or dispatch.
- Immediately report quality deviations, defects, or non-conformities to the QC Executive.
- Assist in monitoring daily cleaning and sanitation activities across:
- Production areas
- Packing sections
- Cold storage and warehouse
- Observe and report employee hygiene practices, including:
- PPE compliance
- Hand hygiene
- Safe food handling behavior
- Ensure hygiene and sanitation rules are followed during processing, packing, storage, and dispatch.
- Support monitoring of packing and packaging operations to ensure:
- Proper sealing (vacuum / non-vacuum, as applicable)
- Correct product labeling (name, batch number, manufacturing date, expiry date, net weight)
- Accurate portioning and weight compliance
- Clean, damage-free, and presentable packaging
- Identify and report packing or labeling errors for immediate corrective action.
- Assist in monitoring storage conditions and temperatures for:
- Fresh products
- Chilled items
- Frozen products
- Ready-to-Cook (RTC) foods
- Maintain temperature logs and escalate deviations immediately.
- Ensure proper segregation and handling of different food categories to prevent cross-contamination.
- Assist in maintaining accurate Quality Control records, including:
- Raw material and product inspection checklists
- Cleaning and sanitation logs
- Temperature and cold storage records
- Packing and labeling verification sheets
- Submit daily QC observations and reports to the QC Executive or Operations Head.

Food Safety & Compliance Support
- Learn and follow food safety standards and best practices, including:

- Support internal inspections, audits, and compliance checks as assigned.
- Strictly follow all company safety, hygiene, and quality policies.
- Work closely with production, packing, and warehouse teams to understand quality expectations.
- Follow instructions from seniors and maintain discipline on the shop floor.
- Participate in on-the-job training related to:
- Food safety
- Hygiene monitoring
- Quality control processes
- Authority limited to inspection support, observation, verification, and reporting.
- No authority to approve or reject products or dispatch independently.
- Accountable for accurate documentation, timely reporting, and adherence to QC procedures.
