A FMCG Food Processing Company in Palakkad, Kerala, is looking for a QA Executive with the following:

Job Responsibilites

The QC Executive will be responsible for ensuring the quality and food safety of all incoming raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods within a fast-paced FMCG environment. Key duties include:

  • Implement and monitor food safety, quality control, and hygiene standards as per regulatory and company requirements.
  • Conduct quality checks at receiving, processing, packaging, and dispatch stages, ensuring compliance with product specifications.
  • Verify and enforce GMP, GHP, HACCP, personal hygiene, cleaning, and sanitation practices across the facility.
  • Monitor CCPs, OPRPs, and production parameters, documenting critical deviations and recommending corrective actions.
  • Ensure packaging material quality, labelling accuracy, and traceability during packing operations.
  • Manage microbiological, chemical, and physical testing of raw materials and finished products (in-house or external labs).
  • Maintain accurate record keeping, data interpretation, and quality documentation as per GMP and HACCP standards.
  • Conduct internal audits, supplier evaluations, and periodic plant inspections to ensure compliance.
  • Provide support in training production and hygiene staff on food safety best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues, reduce complaints, and improve product consistency.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or relevant FMCG discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the FMCG / Food Manufacturing industry in QC/QA roles.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000/FSMS, GMP, GHP, and regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with quality analysis, food testing methods, shelf-life studies, and sensory evaluation.
  • Proficiency in documentation, audit procedures, data reporting, and corrective action systems.
  • Ability to travel for audits, supplier visits, and off-site inspections.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
