Online Food Quality Controller – Kochi, kerala – If you are looking for a rewarding Quality Control job in Kerala with opportunities to work in a fast-growing food manufacturing environment, this role is ideal for you. The position of Online Quality Controller involves real-time monitoring of production processes, ensuring strict compliance with food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality outputs forSpices, Ready-to-Cook (RTC) and Ready-to-Eat (RTE) products.

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor plant and personnel hygiene to ensure compliance with food safety and GMP standards.
  • Inspect and verify the quality of incoming raw materials, including making rejection decisions when needed.
  • Conduct sensory and visual evaluation of finished RTC/RTE products to ensure consistency and product quality.Perform sensory testing, including visual, texture, aroma, and taste evaluation to confirm that finished products meet company quality standards.
  • Ensure strict implementation of hygiene practices across the production floor. Monitor and record personnel hygiene compliance according to GMP and food safety guidelines.
  • Oversee daily production processes and ensure all quality parameters are followed throughout the shift.
  • Check, verify, and approve packaging materials before use in production.Check and verify the quality of all incoming raw materials. Make acceptance or rejection decisions based on predefined quality parameters and specifications.
  • Maintain accurate QC documentation, including reports, records, and checklists.

  • Visit outsourced plants for quality inspection, monitoring, and compliance verification.Visit third-party / outsourced manufacturing units for routine inspection and quality monitoring. Ensure alignment with company standards and food safety guidelines.
  • Coordinate with production teams to resolve quality issues and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Be willing to travel and work extra hours when required to support production and quality operations.

Job Qualifications

  • B.Sc or M.Sc in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or related fields.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in food industry quality control (experience in RTC/RTE QC preferred).
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards, hygiene practices, and quality systems.
  • Ability to perform sensory evaluation and make informed quality decisions.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Willingness to travel for plant visits and handle extended working hours when needed.
