Microbiologist – Meat Products manufacturing company in Dubai is looking for a Microbiologist with the following :

Job Responsibilities – Microbiologist – Meat

  • Microbiological Testing & Analysis
    • Perform microbiological tests on raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
    • Issue accurate and timely laboratory reports to support product release and quality control.
  • Sampling & Compliance
    • Collect samples from equipment, employees, and the production environment to ensure compliance with HACCP, ISO, and other relevant food safety requirements.
    • Monitor production hygiene practices to prevent contamination risks.
  • Training & Support
    • Assist in employee training programs organized by the Quality Department, focusing on hygiene, food safety, and microbiological awareness.
  • Product Release & Documentation
    • Ensure timely release of products in SAP, enabling smooth distribution and sales operations.
    • Maintain accurate records for all prerequisite programs related to HACCP and ISO systems.
  • Third-Party Coordination
    • Liaise with accredited third-party laboratories for sample collection, forwarding, and result reporting on a daily basis.
  • Quality Monitoring & Reporting
    • Report all non-conformances related to product quality and operations to the Quality Manager.
    • Track and report the Quality Demerit Index for daily operations.
    • Support sensory evaluations and other laboratory activities as needed.
  • Safety & Hygiene Compliance
    • Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene standards as per UAE laws and regulations applicable to meat products.
    • Actively participate in maintaining departmental KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Other Responsibilities
    • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Quality Manager to support overall quality assurance objectives.

Job Qualifications – Microbiologist – Meat

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology (preferably with a focus on Food Microbiology).
  • Proven experience in microbiological testing within the food or meat processing industry.
  • Strong understanding of SOPs, GMP, HACCP, and ISO standards.
  • Excellent reporting and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in using SAP for product release is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail in a fast-paced production environment.
