Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and conduct regular checks to ensure proper functioning.
  • Assist in the preparation and testing of food samples using various techniques such as chromatography, microscopy, and spectrophotometry.
  • Maintain accurate records of all experiments and tests conducted.
  • Support scientists in data analysis and preparation of reports.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations in the laboratory.
  • Keep inventory of necessary supplies and place orders when needed.
  • Assist in the calibration and validation of laboratory equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the laboratory.
  • Communicate any issues or concerns to the lead scientist on time.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably in a food-related field.
  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment and techniques.
  • Familiarity with quality control and assurance processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and data analysis software.
