A Pastry Company in Dubai UAE is looking for a Junior Quality Assurance Officer with the following:
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, implementation, and review of the HACCP plan.
- Conduct hazard analyses and identify critical control points.
- Monitor CCPs (Critical Control Points) and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies.
- Support internal and external audits, providing relevant documentation and reports.
- Product Specifications:
- Develop and maintain product specifications, including ingredients, nutritional information, and packaging requirements.
- Collaborate with R&D, production, and procurement teams to ensure all specifications are accurate and up-to-date.
- Review supplier specifications and ensure alignment with company standards.
- Ensure product labels comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Quality Control and Assurance:
- Conduct routine quality checks during production.
- Report non-conformances and assist in investigating root causes.
- Support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Participate in product testing and sampling.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of all QA activities.
- Prepare reports for senior management, highlighting trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure documentation is easily accessible and audit-ready.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or something similar
- Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) schemes, such as BRC or SQF.
