A Pastry Company in Dubai UAE is looking for a Junior Quality Assurance Officer with the following:

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and review of the HACCP plan.
  • Conduct hazard analyses and identify critical control points.
  • Monitor CCPs (Critical Control Points) and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies.
  • Support internal and external audits, providing relevant documentation and reports.
  • Product Specifications:
  • Develop and maintain product specifications, including ingredients, nutritional information, and packaging requirements.
  • Collaborate with R&D, production, and procurement teams to ensure all specifications are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Review supplier specifications and ensure alignment with company standards.
  • Ensure product labels comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Quality Control and Assurance:
  • Conduct routine quality checks during production.
  • Report non-conformances and assist in investigating root causes.
  • Support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Participate in product testing and sampling.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed records of all QA activities.
  • Prepare reports for senior management, highlighting trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure documentation is easily accessible and audit-ready.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or something similar
  • Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) schemes, such as BRC or SQF.
