A leading FMCG Industry in Dubai is looking for a Junior Executive – Regulatory Affairs (Biotechnologist) with the following

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and Maintain Regulatory Documentation: Assist in preparing, reviewing, and maintaining regulatory documentation, including product dossiers, compliance records, and technical files required for cosmetic and fragrance products.
  • Support Product Registration Processes: Assist in submitting product registration applications to regulatory authorities such as Dubai Municipality and other relevant government bodies to ensure products are approved before entering the market.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance Before Product Launch: Verify that cosmetic and fragrance products comply with applicable UAE regulatory requirements and international standards prior to market launch.
  • Maintain Regulatory Records and Approvals: Keep accurate and organized records of regulatory submissions, product approvals, licenses, certifications, and regulatory communications for internal tracking and compliance audits.
  • Monitor Regulatory Updates and Changes: Track updates in UAE and international cosmetic regulations, guidelines, and compliance requirements, and communicate relevant changes to internal departments.
  • Coordinate with Internal Departments: Work closely with departments such as Quality Assurance, Research & Development (R&D), and Production to collect necessary technical documentation, safety data, ingredient lists, and product specifications required for regulatory submissions.
  • Assist in Registration Renewals and Variations: Support product renewal applications, regulatory variations, and amendments to ensure continuous compliance with regulatory authorities.
  • Maintain Regulatory Databases and Systems: Manage and update internal regulatory databases, document management systems, and product compliance records to ensure traceability and easy retrieval of regulatory information.
  • Review Product Labels and Ingredient Lists: Assist in reviewing product labeling, ingredient declarations, and packaging information to ensure compliance with UAE cosmetic labeling regulations.
  • Support Compliance Audits: Prepare regulatory documents and records required during internal audits, regulatory inspections, and certification reviews.
  • Ensure Accurate Documentation Control: Maintain proper version control and documentation practices for regulatory files, ensuring that the latest approved documents are available for internal and external use.
  • Assist in Regulatory Risk Assessment: Support the regulatory affairs team in identifying potential compliance risks related to ingredients, formulations, or labeling and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Collaborate on Regulatory Projects: Participate in regulatory projects related to new product development, product reformulations, and market expansion initiatives.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs, preferably in cosmetics, fragrances, personal care, or related industries.
  • Basic understanding of UAE cosmetic regulations and product registration requirements.
  • Familiarity with regulatory documentation preparation and compliance management.
  • Experience coordinating with regulatory authorities such as Dubai Municipality is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of international cosmetic regulatory standards and compliance frameworks is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and Word for regulatory documentation and reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced regulatory environment while maintaining strict compliance standards.
