A Hotel and Hospitality Industry in Abu Dhabi, UAE is looking for a Hygiene and EHS Officer with the following experience in Hotel Industry Safety practices:
Job Responsibilities
- Drive the Developed HACCP (Food Safety Management System) and Revise, and review the Manual as per ADFCA & CODEX Alimentarius requirements, Local regulatory Authority & International standards.
- Drive Implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of HACCP
- Ensure compliance with ADFCA and all other related regulatory requirements.
- Conduct Food Safety training need analysis for colleagues, developed training program and Food Safety training program for the employees.
- Conduct Level 2 Food Safety training for all the colleagues, Level 3 & 4 in supervising/managing food safety in catering for managers and supervisors.
- Drive the developed Environmental Safety Management system to ease compliance with the requirements of the Center for Waste Management.
- Drive the implemented food composting system in the hotel and reduce all food waste by 70 % of its total weight. The food compost produced as the by-product has been distributed to the landscaping companies as a corporate responsibility program.
- Responsible for application and the receipt of all the NOCs of outlets and hotels from Center of waste management – CWM on the annual basis.
- Championing the Green Engage program together with the Chief Engineer and leads the Green Engage meeting on monthly basis.
- A Hotel Hygiene Officer be Responsible of the entire waste management system thus dealing with the waste service provider for all the issues related to waste management.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree/equivalent in Microbiology or any Health & Safety related qualifications.
- Professional Qualification
- Diploma in NEBOSH or NEBOSH IGC
- Abu Dhabi Health & Safety Practitioners Course
- Experience in the Hotel industry as Hygiene Officer is preferred.
