A Catering Company in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE is looking for a Hygiene Officer with the following

Responsibilities

  • Develop, Implement, and Maintain Hygiene Protocols: Create and update hygiene procedures to ensure compliance with health standards.
  • Conduct Regular Facility Inspections for Compliance: Perform routine inspections to verify adherence to hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Monitor Food Storage Temperatures and Equipment: Regularly check and record temperatures of food storage areas and ensure equipment is functioning correctly.
  • Train Staff on Hygiene Practices: Educate employees on proper hygiene practices and safety protocols to maintain a healthy work environment.
  • Investigate and Resolve Hygiene-Related Issues: Identify and address any hygiene concerns promptly to prevent contamination or health hazards.
  • Maintain Relationships with Health Authorities: Liaise with local health authorities to ensure compliance with regulations and address any issues that arise.
  • Stay Updated on Hygiene Regulations: Keep abreast of the latest hygiene and safety regulations to ensure the facility is always in compliance.
  • Collaborate with Departments to Maintain Standards: Work with various departments to ensure hygiene standards are consistently met throughout the organization.
  • Conduct Hygiene Audits and Prepare Reports: Perform regular hygiene audits and prepare detailed reports on findings and recommendations for improvements.
  • Assist in Developing Hygiene Policies: Contribute to the creation and revision of hygiene policies to enhance safety and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Food Science or Related Field: Previous experience or education in food science or a related discipline.
  • Food Hygiene and Safety Certification: Certification in food hygiene and safety practices.
  • Knowledge of Local Hygiene Regulations: Familiarity with local hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Strong Attention to Detail: Meticulous and detail-oriented approach to hygiene management.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with staff and health authorities.
  • Previous Experience Preferred: Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous.
