Hygiene Manager

Full-time

A luxurious Apartments Group is hiring a Hygiene Manager in Dubai, UAE with the following:

Responsibilities

  • Propose and maintain minimum standards in all work areas, stores, receiving and disposal areas to adhere at all times to required hygiene standards.
  • Responsible for effective and efficient maintenance of records related to the Hotel’s sanitation and hygiene efforts/program.
  • Formulates and maintains an up-to-date methodology manual that is constantly available for use and review by the section personnel.
  • Responsible for promoting effective dissemination coordination with the rest of the staff in the Hotel.
  • Develops, directs SOPs of food safety & hygiene standard for operation.
  • Responsible for HACCP / other system certification.
  • To perform Supplier Audits, reporting non-conformance & upgrade the status to ensure the quality of the products entering into the distribution, process & system.
  • Approve the new supplier after conducting an audit & subsequent assessment.
  • Certified & approved trainer from the Food Control Department to conduct in-house training.
  • To conduct Basic Food Hygiene Training & refresher training for staff.
  • To conduct a Person In Charge training program launched by Dubai Municipality for Outlet Managers and Sous Chefs.
  • To develop & implement retention sample procedures.
  • Liaise with other departments to establish and implement necessary communication strategies for the improvement and awareness of food safety issues.
  • Responsible for the office/section area being clean and orderly with an organized and efficient workflow.
  • Performs special assignments and projects assigned to the office by the superiors.
  • Monitors assists, and performs all procedures and protocols for maintaining excellent sanitation and a hygienic environment.
  • Is part of the Hotel’s Sanitation Team, which conducts monthly sanitation inspections throughout all food handling areas and generates respective reports.
  • Continually liaises with external agencies (laboratory, government bureau, health practitioners, etc.) on sanitary matters.

Qualifications

  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
  • Master’s in food science / Masters in related food science
  • HACCP in Practice (Level 3 Award in Food Safety)
  • Advanced Food Hygiene (Level 4 Award in Food Safety)
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Food Hygiene & Quality Management in a Hotel with exposure to online quality assurance.
