Quality and Hygiene Officer vacancy in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, at a Hotel and Hospitality Industry, is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality assurance, food safety, hygiene, and sustainability across all hotel operations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining compliance with international management systems, brand standards, and UAE food safety regulations while supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the hotel.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular quality, hygiene, and food safety inspections across all hotel departments, including kitchens, food & beverage outlets, storage areas, housekeeping, and back-of-house operations.
  • Monitor, implement, and report compliance with Rixos Hotels UAE Quality Management Standards and the hotel’s certified management systems, including:
  • Ensure full adherence to UAE local food safety laws, Dubai Municipality / Abu Dhabi food regulations, and hospitality hygiene requirements.
  • Participate actively in Rixos Hotels UAE cross-internal audits, supporting audit preparation, documentation, corrective actions, and follow-up activities.
  • Plan, conduct, and document supplier audits to ensure vendors comply with food safety, quality, and sustainability standards.
  • Carry out laboratory sampling, coordinate testing, analyze microbiological and chemical results, and prepare detailed reports with corrective and preventive actions.
  • Identify non-conformities and implement corrective actions to improve hygiene, food safety, and operational quality standards.
  • Deliver and record training programs related to quality management systems, food safety (HACCP), hygiene practices, sustainability, and environmental awareness for hotel staff.

Job Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering, Food Technology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in 4-star or 5-star hotels within the UAE, preferably in quality assurance, hygiene, or food safety roles.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, ISO standards, food safety regulations, and hotel hygiene practices.
  • Experience in audits, inspections, documentation, and staff training within hospitality environments.
  • Excellent reporting, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments in a fast-paced hotel environment.
