A Hotel Chian in Bahrain is looking for a Food Safety Trainer with the following:
Job Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective food safety and hygiene training to all food handlers and kitchen staff in accordance with Bahrain’s Ministry of Health regulations and 5-star hotel standards.
- Develop and customize training programs based on hotel SOPs, HACCP principles, ISO 22000, and international best practices.
- Conduct regular refresher courses, onboarding sessions, and toolbox talks for new and existing staff.
- Perform internal audits in kitchen and food service areas to ensure full compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
- Document all training activities, attendance, and staff assessments to maintain up-to-date compliance records.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef and F&B Manager to ensure seamless food safety implementation across outlets.
- Identify training gaps and provide targeted coaching or corrective guidance.
- Participate in external audits and inspections, ensuring staff preparedness and readiness.
- Promote a strong food safety culture throughout the hotel through continuous engagement and awareness activities.
- Recommend and implement improvements in hygiene practices, equipment use, and sanitation procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Environmental Health, or a related discipline.
- Approved Food Safety Trainer certification (preferably from Bahrain’s Ministry of Health or internationally recognized bodies like Highfield, ServSafe, or NEBOSH).
- Minimum 3 years of food safety training experience in a luxury hotel, resort, or high-end hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, and relevant Bahrain food safety regulations.
