Hospitality and Restaurant chain in Dubai, UAE is lookking for a Quality Control Officer with the following:

Job Responsibilities

Food Safety & Compliance

  • Oversee and maintain the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) across the entire CPU.
  • Conduct routine inspections of production areas to ensure compliance with HACCP, ISO, and FSMS standards.
  • Ensure the Dubai Food Watch account is active and Certified PICs (Person-In-Charge) carry out regular inspections and documentation.
  • Monitor adherence to food safety logs, temperature records, CCPs, and hygiene practices across all shifts.

Quality Monitoring & Testing

  • Manage laboratory testing, prepare microbiological and organoleptic sampling schedules, and review testing reports for evaluation.
  • Inspect semi-finished and finished products before dispatch and flag issues for immediate correction.
  • Ensure all finished products have complete traceability from raw materials to final delivery.

Audits & Documentation

  • Attend internal, external, and third-party audits; assist in preparing Corrective Action Reports (CARs).
  • Prepare and maintain checklists, policies, SOPs, and quality-related documentation in line with regulatory and operational standards.
  • Conduct food transportation audits to verify the safety and hygiene of delivery vehicles and processes.

Complaint Handling & Corrective Actions

  • Investigate customer and outlet complaints related to food safety or product quality.
  • Compile detailed investigation reports and maintain the complaint tracking system.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely corrective and preventive actions are implemented to avoid recurrence.

Training & Staff Development

  • Conduct quarterly refresher training sessions and toolbox talks for production, hygiene, and logistics staff.
  • Guide team members on GMP, hygiene practices, allergen control, and FSMS requirements.

Coordination & Facility Management

  • Collaborate with external service providers such as pest control, kitchen hood cleaning, and grease trap maintenance to ensure timely service delivery.
  • Escalate maintenance issues to facility and engineering teams and follow up until resolved.
  • Monitor cleaning operations within the CPU and support the Cleaning Supervisor in maintaining high hygiene standards.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify areas for improvement and propose quality enhancement initiatives and operational efficiency projects.
  • Support cross-functional teams in implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement strategies.
