A Hospitality Group in Dubai UAE is looking for a Junior Food Safety Officer with the following:,
Job Responsibilites
- Daily Monitoring & Compliance: Assist in the daily supervision of food handling processes and ensure that all operations align with company food safety policies and applicable government regulations.
- Inspections & Audits: Conduct regular internal inspections of food preparation areas, storage rooms, refrigerators/freezers, and production equipment to identify areas of concern or non-conformance.
- Documentation & Recordkeeping: Maintain and update accurate documentation required for food safety systems such as HACCP, GMP, and ISO 22000. Assist in the preparation of reports and audit-ready records.
- Hazard Identification: Support the identification of potential food safety hazards and hygiene risks. Report findings promptly to the Food Safety Manager and assist in implementing corrective actions.
- Training Support: Contribute to the delivery of internal food safety and hygiene training programs by assisting in the preparation of materials and encouraging team participation and awareness.
- Incident & Complaint Handling: Participate in the investigation of food safety incidents or customer complaints by collecting data, samples, and relevant documentation to support root cause analysis.
- Regulatory Updates: Stay informed about new developments, legislation, and best practices in the field of food safety and communicate relevant changes to the internal team.
Job Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Nutrition, Food Technology, or a related scientific discipline.
- Foundational knowledge of key food safety standards and systems such as HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, and local food safety regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a strong commitment to accuracy, cleanliness, and order in Hospitality sector.
- Good analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- A team player with a willingness to learn and collaborate across departments including quality, production, and operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is a plus.
Hospitality -Food Safety Officer
- Internship or prior work experience in a food production, hospitality, or QA environment.
- Knowledge of local food authority regulations (e.g., Dubai Municipality, SFDA, etc.).
