Honey Processing and Distrubuting Company in Dubai UAE is looking for a Food Technologist – Quality with the following:
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the quality of raw honey, in-process materials, and finished products to meet regulatory and company standards.
- Conduct routine quality tests including moisture, HMF (Hydroxymethylfurfural), diastase activity, and sensory evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with UAE regulatory standards (ESMA, Dubai Municipality), food safety certifications (HACCP, ISO 22000), and international honey standards (Codex Alimentarius).
- Inspect incoming raw materials for quality, purity, and traceability.
- Implement and review Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
- Maintain up-to-date records of laboratory analysis, batch processing, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Participate in internal audits and support third-party inspections or certifications.
- Collaborate with production and procurement teams to resolve quality concerns.
- Assist in product development and formulation adjustments based on quality results and customer feedback.
- Train and supervise quality control technicians in routine quality assurance tasks.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, or a related discipline.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in food processing or Manuka honey/beverage/food ingredient industry preferred.
- Sound knowledge of honey properties, quality parameters, and international honey grading systems.
- Knowledge of types of Honey such as New Zealand honey or Fresh Honey.

New Zealand Manuka Honey is a unique type of honey produced by bees that pollinate the flowers of the Manuka bush (Leptospermum scoparium), a plant native to New Zealand.
