Healthy Meal Plan Prepping Chef wanted at a leading Restaurant Chain in Dubai UAE with the following:

Job Responsibilties

  • Design and develop the existing meal plans and menus
    • Create and update balanced meal plans tailored to different dietary needs including vegan, keto, low-carb, gluten-free, high-protein, and calorie-controlled options.
    • Incorporate nutritional science and client feedback into the menu design to ensure variety and client satisfaction.
    • Stay up to date with global food trends and adapt dishes to align with current health and wellness practices.
  • Lead the kitchen team and supervise daily food preparation and cooking activities
    • Oversee daily operations to ensure consistency, timely preparation, and efficient kitchen functioning.
    • Allocate responsibilities among chefs, sous chefs, and kitchen assistants while mentoring junior staff.
    • Conduct regular briefings and training sessions to improve team performance and morale.
  • Collaborate with nutritionists, healthcare providers, and other chefs
    • Work closely with clinical dietitians and wellness experts to ensure that all dishes meet specific nutritional guidelines.
    • Review meal components for macronutrient balance, allergens, and caloric needs.
    • Adjust recipes or portion sizes based on medical or nutritional recommendations.
  • Maintain proper food inventory levels and oversee timely ordering
    • Monitor stock levels regularly and place timely orders to avoid shortages or overstocking.
    • Liaise with suppliers for fresh, high-quality ingredients, often organic or specialty items.
    • Minimize waste by implementing FIFO (First In First Out) and proper storage practices.
  • Uphold food safety regulations and hygiene standards
    • Enforce strict compliance with Dubai Municipality and UAE Food Safety Authority regulations.
    • Ensure kitchen staff follow HACCP guidelines, including proper storage, cooking temperatures, and sanitization.
    • Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify and correct potential hazards.
  • Ensure kitchen cleanliness, organization, and efficient workflow
    • Maintain a sanitary and orderly kitchen environment with defined workstations and cleaning routines.
    • Implement efficient prep and cooking processes to reduce delays and bottlenecks.
    • Coordinate staff schedules to align with business volume and prep requirements.
  • Conduct regular quality checks
    • Perform daily tastings and presentation evaluations before meals are dispatched.
    • Address customer feedback regarding food taste, temperature, or appearance with corrective actions.
    • Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent product quality.

Job Qualifications – Healthy Meal Plan Chef

  • Proven experience in healthy cuisine and meal planning
    • Strong portfolio of dishes and menus focused on functional foods, portion control, and specialized diets.
    • Experience with meal prep services, health cafés, wellness kitchens, or hospital food services is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing kitchen operations and staff
    • Demonstrated ability to lead a team in a busy and health-focused culinary setting.
    • Experience managing schedules, resolving conflicts, and overseeing staff performance.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
    • Well-versed in HACCP, ISO 22000, and Dubai food safety standards.
    • Trained in allergen handling, cross-contamination prevention, and sanitation protocols.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
    • Comfortable managing multiple orders and kitchen tasks under tight timelines.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills
    • Capable of motivating staff, conducting evaluations, and fostering a collaborative kitchen culture.
    • Clear communicator with good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Good command of the English language
    • Able to communicate effectively with clients, staff, nutritionists, and suppliers.
    • Written and verbal communication skills are essential for reports, orders, and recipe documentation.
  • Immediate availability is a must
