Healthcare Management Industry in Dubai UAE is looking for a Nutritionist Coordinator , vital role in delivering comprehensive patient-centered nutritional care within community and patient support program settings. This position focuses on supporting patients with chronic diseases to achieve optimal health outcomes and improved quality of life through structured nutrition care, education, and follow-up.
The Nutritionist Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating effective nutrition services for patients and their families while strictly adhering to Healthcare Management policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and local as well as international healthcare regulations. The role operates in alignment with established patient care standards and utilizes digital patient management systems to ensure accurate documentation, monitoring, and continuity of care.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide telephonic nutrition consultations and follow-up to patients enrolled in community or patient support programs.
- Ensure all menu selections and dietary plans comply with prescribed diet orders, nutritional requirements, patient age, medical condition, cultural background, and religious practices.
- Develop, review, and modify individualized meal plans and menus in line with diet prescriptions using approved nutritional guidelines and resources.
- Maintain and regularly update patient nutritional records, including diet changes, food allergies, preferences, and special dietary requests.
- Monitor and document assigned data such as patient meal census, reports, and stock requirements using logs or digital spreadsheets.
- Address patient queries, concerns, and complaints professionally, escalating issues to relevant departments when required.
- Act as a dietary and nutrition resource for nursing staff, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide nutrition education and dietary counselling based on the patient’s treatment plan and care management needs.
- Support general patient care activities, including nutrition-related monitoring and compliance.
- Offer ongoing health education, supervision, and guidance to patients, families, and caregivers to ensure adherence to nutrition plans.
- Participate in and successfully complete pharmacovigilance, pharmaceutical, and product training programs as provided by clients or partners.
- Collect, document, and report adverse events and product complaints in accordance with client requirements and Axios International SOPs.
- Conduct all program-related activities exclusively through the Patient Management System (PMS) to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Clinical Nutrition, Food Science, or a related healthcare discipline.
- Valid MOH / DHA license or eligibility to obtain a professional license in the UAE (preferred).
- Proven experience in patient care, community nutrition, healthcare management, or patient support programs.
- Strong understanding of clinical nutrition, chronic disease management, and patient counselling.
- Knowledge of pharmacovigilance practices, adverse event reporting, and healthcare compliance standards.
- Familiarity with digital patient management systems (PMS) and healthcare documentation processes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and counselling skills, particularly for telephonic consultations.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in reporting and data management.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is an advantage.
