Greek Restaurant Chain in Dubai UAE is looking for Chef with expertise in authentic Greek cuisine to join in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of traditional Greek dishes, flavors, and cooking methods, and will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals while maintaining hygiene and consistency in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a wide variety of authentic Greek dishes, including grilled meats, seafood, meze, dips, and traditional desserts.
  • Ensure dishes are presented and served according to the restaurant’s standards.
  • Follow and refine traditional Greek recipes to maintain authenticity and consistency.
  • Monitor portion sizes, cooking methods, and food presentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen in line with Dubai Municipality food safety regulations and HACCP standards.
  • Assist with daily kitchen operations, including food prep, storage, and station setup.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu development and seasonal specials.
  • Train and guide junior kitchen staff in Greek cooking techniques and safe food handling.
  • Manage inventory and request ingredients to ensure kitchen is adequately stocked.
  • Ensure minimal food wastage and cost-effective use of ingredients.

Job Qualifications

  • Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Chef in a Greek or Mediterranean restaurant.
  • Proven expertise in preparing traditional Greek recipes (e.g., souvlaki, moussaka, dolmades, baklava).
  • Sound knowledge of food hygiene standards and safety procedures in UAE.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a team environment.
  • Good communication and time management skills.
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Greek or Arabic is a plus.

Chef : Skills

  • Creative approach to food presentation and plating.
  • Familiarity with Dubai Municipality regulations and food code.
  • Experience working in high-end or fine-dining restaurants is an advantage.
