Gourmet Foods type of Foods is looking for a a Senior Quality Assurance Officer in Kerala, India. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in developing and implementing food quality systems, conducting internal audits, and ensuring compliance with FSSAI, HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, and GHP standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement Quality Systems:
Establish, monitor, and continually improve the Gourmet Foods quality assurance framework to ensure full compliance with FSSAI, HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, and GHP standards. - QA for Receivables and Finished Goods:
Implement a robust quality assurance system for receivables and outgoing finished goods (FG), including a controlled pass slip system, documentation checks, and traceability management within Gourmet Foods operations. - Conduct Quality Audits:
Plan and execute internal and external quality audits to ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene standards across Gourmet Foods facilities. - Customer Complaint Management:
Analyze customer complaints, product returns, and market feedback. Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to enhance product quality and ensure customer delight.
- Continuous Improvement:
Promote continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen the overall quality culture at Gourmet Foods, ensuring excellence in every batch of production. - Training and Supervision:
Train and supervise staff on GMP, GHP, and HACCP principles. Develop a skilled and quality-conscious workforce aligned with the core values of Gourmet Foods. - Collaboration with R&D:
Partner with the R&D team to maintain quality and food safety standards in new product launches. Validate formulations, conduct shelf-life studies, and assess packaging suitability before commercial rollout. - Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all Gourmet Foods products meet local and national food regulatory requirements, maintaining audit readiness and proper documentation for FSSAI and ISO inspections.
Job Qualifications
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or Quality Management. - Experience:
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment, preferably with exposure to Gourmet Foods, bakery, or FMCG operations.
- Technical Expertise:
- Deep understanding of FSSAI, HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, and GHP standards.
- Experience in managing QA systems for incoming materials and finished goods.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with RCA and CAPA experience.
- Ability to train and lead cross-functional teams.
- Soft Skills:
Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills with a proactive approach to quality improvement and customer satisfaction.
