Gluten-Free / Vegan Meal Prepping Company in Dubai UAE, is looking for a Junior Quality Controller with the following HACCP or Food Safety Level 4 Certifications:
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct daily inspections and tests on semi-finished and final food products to ensure they meet defined quality standards, dietary specifications (gluten-free and vegan), and safety regulations before dispatch.
- Perform routine quality checks on raw materials, packaging, and production processes to identify potential risks and maintain high production standards.
- Monitor and document quality control activities, including temperature logs, test results, batch records, and inventory reports using automated QA systems and standard checklists.
- Ensure strict adherence to local and international food safety regulations, including the Dubai Food Code, HACCP guidelines, and ISO standards.
- Collaborate closely with the production, hygiene, and kitchen teams to detect non-conformities, implement corrective actions, and promote continuous improvement.
- Support the Quality Assurance team in updating SOPs, HACCP plans, and quality manuals tailored to gluten-free and plant-based food manufacturing.
- Participate in internal audits and supplier evaluations to maintain quality and compliance across the supply chain.
- Assist in training team members on hygiene practices, allergen control, and best practices in gluten-free and vegan food handling.
- Maintain flexibility to work rotational shifts, including weekends if required, to support continuous production operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a food production or meal prep environment (gluten-free/vegan industry preferred).
- Strong understanding of food allergens, particularly gluten and animal-derived ingredients, and how to prevent cross-contamination.
