Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive food safety and hygiene audits in alignment with FSSAI, ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, and GHP standards.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute audits in accordance with FSSAI, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP, and GHP standards.
  • Evaluate the implementation and effectiveness of Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) across various food industries, including catering, manufacturing, and retail sectors.
  • Assess and verify compliance in food manufacturing units, catering facilities, and food service establishments as Freelance Food Safety Auditors.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed audit reports, identifying non-conformities and recommending corrective actions.
  • Stay informed about FSSAI notifications, Codex Alimentarius standards, ISO revisions, and emerging trends in food safety.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to ensure up-to-date knowledge of audit methodologies and compliance frameworks.
  • Ensure all audit procedures meet professional and regulatory standards with the highest level of integrity.
  • Provide technical insights and recommendations to enhance food safety practices and system efficiency.
  • Stay updated with national and international food safety regulations and audit protocols.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and client representatives to maintain audit quality and consistency.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, or a related discipline.
  • Lead Auditor Certification in ISO 22000:2018 / FSSC 22000 / BRCGS / HACCP is mandatory.
  • 3 to 8 years of professional experience in food safety auditing, including third-party, internal, or supplier audits.
  • In-depth knowledge of FSSAI regulations, Codex Alimentarius, and global food safety standards.
  • Excellent report writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Perform detailed inspections of food production areas, storage facilities, kitchens, and service zones to verify hygiene and sanitation practices.
  • Review food handling, processing, labeling, and traceability procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical insights on food safety best practices, risk assessments, and control measures being a Freelance Food Safety Auditors.
  • Advise clients on enhancing their food safety culture and implementing sustainable food hygiene programs.
  • Ability to work independently, manage audit schedules, and deliver high-quality results within deadlines.
