An Energy Drink processing Company in Dubai, UAE is looking for a Food Technology Manager with the following:

Job Responsibilities

  • Research and Development:
    • Lead the creation of new energy drink , food and beverage products, from ideation to commercialization.
    • Conduct research on innovative ingredients, processes, and technologies to enhance product quality, safety, and shelf life.
    • Implement advanced solutions to optimize food processing and production efficiency.
  • Quality Control and Assurance:
    • Ensure all products meet the required safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
    • Develop and manage robust quality control systems and protocols.
    • Conduct routine inspections and audits of production facilities and resolve quality concerns.

  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with local and international food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, ISO, FDA).
    • Monitor and adapt to changes in food safety regulations.
    • Prepare and submit required documentation for regulatory approvals and audits.
  • Project Management:
    • Plan and execute food technology projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as production, marketing, and sales to deliver successful outcomes.
    • Track project progress and communicate results to key stakeholders.
  • Training and Supervision:
    • Mentor and supervise food technologists and other team members, providing guidance on food safety, quality control, and new technologies.
    • Conduct training sessions for staff on process improvements and quality management systems.

  • Process Optimization:
    • Continuously evaluate and improve production processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Implement lean manufacturing principles and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain detailed records of research, quality control, and production activities.
    • Generate comprehensive reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.

  • Vendor and Supplier Management:
    • Assess and select suppliers based on quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
    • Build and manage long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Innovation and Safety Management:
    • Stay current with food technology trends to drive innovation in product development.
    • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations in all food technology operations.
  • Budget Management:
    • Prepare and manage budgets for R&D projects, quality control, and operational improvements.

Job Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
    • Advanced Degree Preferred: Master’s or Ph.D. in Food Science, Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in food technology, food manufacturing, or a related field.
    • At least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role within food technology or production.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and standards (HACCP, ISO, FDA).
    • Expertise in food processing technologies and innovation.
    • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
    • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
    • Proficiency in quality control, assurance processes, and laboratory testing.
  • Certifications (Optional but Beneficial):
    • Certified Food Scientist (CFS)
    • HACCP Certification
    • ISO Certification
