A leading FMCG company in Banglore, Bengaluru is looking for an Executive – Food Technology with the following :

Job Responsibilities

  • FSSAI Licensing & Applications: Prepare, review, and compile all documentation required for new FSSAI license applications, renewals, modifications, and product approvals.
  • Documentation & Records: Collect, verify, and organize supporting documents (Trade License, FSMS Plan, NOCs, etc.) from internal teams and vendors to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Application Tracking: Maintain and update trackers for all FSSAI license applications, approvals, and renewals, ensuring timely follow-up and closure.
  • Query Management: Draft responses to FSSAI queries, submit required clarifications, and coordinate with authorities until resolution is achieved.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain up-to-date regulatory documentation, compliance records, and ensure all licenses are valid and renewed within the due timelines.
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with Quality, Legal, Procurement, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of regulatory requirements.
  • Audit & Inspection Support: Assist in preparing documents and records for regulatory audits, inspections, and internal compliance checks.
  • Continuous Updates: Keep track of changes in FSSAI regulations, guidelines, and policies, and communicate key updates to internal teams.

Job Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Biotechnology, or related discipline.
  • Experience: 1–2 years of experience in FSSAI licensing, food regulatory affairs, or compliance in the food industry.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Strong understanding of FSSAI regulations, licensing procedures, and compliance requirements.
    • Familiarity with FSMS, HACCP, GMP, and other food safety standards.
  • Skills Required:
    • Proficiency in regulatory documentation and record-keeping.
    • Strong coordination and communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Attention to detail with the ability to prepare accurate documentation.
    • Problem-solving skills for handling FSSAI queries and ensuring timely closure.
    • MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and tracker maintenance.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Organized and detail-oriented.
    • Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple applications simultaneously.
    • Proactive in staying updated on evolving regulatory guidelines.
