An innovative snack company in UAE is looking for a Food Technologist to work in the Quality Control Department with the following:
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough quality assessments of food products to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company specifications.
- Perform various tests and analyses on food samples to evaluate factors such as texture, flavour, and nutritional content.
- Maintain accurate records of quality control processes, test results, and other relevant documentation. Prepare detailed reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay updated on UAE food industry regulations and standards. Ensure that all products meet or exceed these requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the quality control department. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective changes.
- Work closely with suppliers to address quality concerns, conduct audits, and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality raw materials.
- Collaborate with fellow team members and departments to maintain effective communication and address quality-related issues promptly.
- Provide training to production staff on quality control procedures, ensuring that the team is well-informed and capable of maintaining high standards.
- Investigate and resolve any quality-related issues that may arise during the production process. Implement corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
- Implement systems for continuous monitoring of production processes, ensuring consistency in quality across batches.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the food industry, with a focus on quality control.
- Knowledge of UAE Food Industry: A strong understanding of the UAE food industry regulations, standards, and market trends.
