Food Technologist – Ice Cream position at a leading Ice Cream Production Industry in Ajman, UAE with the following :
Responsibilities – Food Technologist – Ice Cream
Product Development
- Drive the development of innovative, market-relevant food products from concept through commercialization.
- Conduct lab-scale and pilot trials for both new and existing formulations of ice cream pops.
- Optimize product recipes for improved taste, texture, shelf life, nutritional profile, and cost efficiency.
Research & Innovation
- Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and consumer preferences to guide innovation strategies.
- Perform competitive product benchmarking and market research of various such as Italian cream ice cream.
- Explore new ingredients, processing technologies, and packaging solutions to enhance product offerings.
Regulatory & Quality Compliance
- Ensure all products comply with relevant food safety and labeling regulations (e.g., HACCP, FSSAI, FDA, GSO).
- Collaborate with the QA/QC team to maintain product consistency and safety standards.
- Prepare and update product specifications, SOPs, and technical documentation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, production, supply chain, and procurement teams to align R&D activities with business goals.
- Support scale-up processes from laboratory development to full-scale manufacturing.
- Assist in resolving production challenges and addressing customer feedback.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain detailed records of all product trials, formulation changes, and testing data.
- Prepare technical dossiers, samples, and internal reports for decision-making and regulatory purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in food product development, R&D, or a similar role within the food industry (mandatory).
- Strong foundation in food chemistry, microbiology, ingredient functionality, and sensory evaluation.
- Practical experience with laboratory and pilot-scale equipment.
- Proficiency in using statistical tools for product testing and analysis.
- Working knowledge of international food regulations and standards (e.g., HACCP, FSSC 22000, FDA).

Food Technologist – Ice Cream – Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in developing clean label, functional foods, or alternative protein products.
- Familiarity with ERP or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
- Certifications in HACCP, FSSC 22000, or GMP are a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent project management and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
