Job Responsibilites

  • Technical Support & Knowledge Transfer
    • Deliver high-quality technical support to food manufacturers, ensuring alignment with current food safety and quality standards.
    • Disseminate best practices in food safety, hygiene, and quality control to improve manufacturing operations across small and large food businesses.
    • Act as a conduit for knowledge exchange between FIC’s technical team, industry partners, and stakeholders.
  • Food Safety & Quality Improvement
    • Identify critical gaps in food safety management systems by conducting internal audits, gap analyses, and risk assessments.
    • Provide tailored recommendations to enhance compliance with recognised standards such as BRC, SALSA, and other Quality Management Systems.
  • Project Management
    • Manage multiple technical projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
    • Establish and implement structured project delivery methodologies under the guidance of Technical Managers.
    • Monitor project progress, document outcomes, and prepare comprehensive reports.
  • Policy & Procedure Development
    • Write, review, and update technical documentation, including policies, procedures, and monitoring protocols.
    • Ensure documentation is compliant with FIC Quality Management Systems and regulatory requirements to support product safety, legality, and quality.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering expert advice and hands-on support.
    • Represent the FIC at industry events and training sessions to promote food safety awareness and technical excellence.

Job Qualifications

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in a food manufacturing, technical, or food safety role.
  • Strong understanding of food safety legislation, quality standards (e.g., BRCGS, SALSA), and HACCP principles.
  • Experience conducting audits and implementing food safety or quality improvement plans.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.

  • Strong project management skills with a results-driven approach.
  • Competency in writing technical documents and policies.
