Food Technologist – Beverages – A leading Beverage Speciality Production Company in Dubai, UAE, is looking for a Food Technologist with the following:

Job Responsibilities
1. Product Development & Innovation
- Develop new and improved food and beverage products based on market trends, nutritional goals, and consumer preferences.
 - Conduct formulation trials, pilot runs, and sensory evaluations to test recipes and ingredients.
 - Work on coffee product development, including formulation, flavor profiling, and quality consistency.
 - Modify existing products to meet cost, shelf life, and quality improvement targets.
 
2. Quality Assurance & Food Safety
- Ensure all food products comply with local and international food safety regulations, including HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, and Dubai Municipality standards.
 - Conduct stability and microbiological testing to ensure product safety and durability.
 - Review raw materials, packaging, and finished goods to maintain consistent quality.
 
3. Process Optimization
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, product consistency, and cost control.
 - Work with production teams to scale up recipes from laboratory trials to commercial manufacturing.
 - Monitor processing conditions and troubleshoot any production issues related to formulation or texture.
 
4. Research & Market Analysis
- Stay updated with emerging food technologies, ingredients, and consumer trends.
 - Support sustainable and health-focused product innovation initiatives.
 - Conduct benchmarking studies and competitor product evaluations.
 
5. Documentation & Regulatory Compliance
- Prepare technical specifications, ingredient lists, and nutritional labels.
 - Maintain detailed records of all product trials, test results, and formulation changes.
 - Ensure all product documentation meets regulatory and company standards.
 
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with marketing, procurement, and sales teams to align new product development with market demands.
 - Provide technical guidance to production and quality teams to ensure successful product launches.
 - Assist in supplier evaluations and ingredient sourcing decisions.
 
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related discipline.
 - Minimum 2–4 years of experience in product development or quality in the food or beverage industry.
 - Proven experience with coffee product formulation or processing preferred.
 - Strong understanding of food processing, sensory analysis, and preservation techniques.
 - Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, and FSSC systems.
 - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
 - Proficiency in laboratory equipment and pilot-scale machinery.
 - Effective communication, documentation, and teamwork abilities.
