A Global Processor of Vegetable oils company in Dubai UAE is looking for a Technical Manager with the following Food Science background:
Job Responsibilities
1. Customer Technical Support & Consultation:
- Provide technical service, solutions, and product recommendations to customers across confectionery, bakery, and culinary segments.
- Conduct product introductions, demonstrations, and application support for both new and existing customers.
- Partner with the commercial team to understand client needs, recommend the right product applications, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Conduct on-site product testing, application trials, and technical troubleshooting at customer facilities.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive sales growth and retention.
2. Product & Application Development:
- Collaborate with R&D and production teams to customize products that meet specific customer requirements.
- Initiate and lead product improvement and innovation projects to enhance product quality, cost-efficiency, and performance.
- Support the development of new applications and formulations for oils & fats in confectionery, bakery, and culinary categories.
- Work with internal stakeholders to align product capabilities with market demands.
3. Market & Competitive Analysis:
- Monitor and analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
- Provide insights on industry developments to support strategic decision-making and business innovation.
- Participate in industry exhibitions, conferences, and seminars to promote the company’s products, enhance technical knowledge, and generate leads.
4. Technical Training & Knowledge Sharing:
- Conduct technical workshops, seminars, and training sessions for both internal teams (sales, marketing) and external customers.
- Develop and maintain sales tools, technical brochures, product application guidelines, and presentations to support the commercial team.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team and across departments.
5. Collaboration & Reporting:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams—including R&D, QA/QC, production, and supply chain—to ensure smooth execution of projects.
- Provide regular project updates, market feedback, and performance reports to management.
- Engage in frequent customer visits and follow-ups, traveling extensively (30–50% of the time).
Job Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the oils & fats, food ingredients, confectionery, or bakery industries.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of oils & fats production technology, product functionalities, and application in confectionery, bakery, and culinary sectors.
- Hands-on experience in product development, technical troubleshooting, and customer application support.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and critical decision-making abilities.
- A team player with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Other Requirements: Willingness to travel extensively (30–50%) for customer support and business development.
