Food Safety Supervisor wanted for a leading organization in the hotel and hospitality sector in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Seeking a qualified and experienced Food Safety Supervisor & EFST Trainer. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in food safety management systems, HACCP implementation, and food hygiene training, particularly within hotels, catering companies, and restaurant chains.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with UAE food safety regulations, delivering certified Essential Food Safety Training (EFST), and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety across all food operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee and enforce food safety and hygiene standards across all kitchen, catering, and food service operations
- Ensure full compliance with HACCP principles, ISO standards, and ADAFSA food safety regulations
- Conduct routine food safety inspections, internal audits, and risk assessments
- Deliver Essential Food Safety Training (EFST) programs as an ADAFSA-approved trainer
- Develop, implement, and update food safety policies, SOPs, and documentation systems
- Monitor and verify Critical Control Points (CCPs) and ensure timely corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and audit documentation for regulatory inspections
- Coordinate with local authorities and regulatory bodies during inspections and approvals
- Train and mentor food handlers and staff on food hygiene, sanitation, and safe food handling practices
- Identify non-conformities and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance food safety performance
Job Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in food safety within the hospitality, catering, or restaurant industry
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in the UAE, preferably in Abu Dhabi.
- Valid ADAFSA-approved EFST Trainer certification
- Certified in Level 4 Food Safety and HACCP Level 3
- NEBOSH IGC certification is preferred but not mandatory
- UAE Driving License is an advantage but not mandatory
Required Skills – Food Safety Officer
- Strong knowledge of UAE food safety regulations and international food safety standards
- Proven experience in food safety training and staff development
- Excellent audit, inspection, and compliance management skills
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational abilities
- High attention to detail with a proactive approach to risk management
