An FMCG Company in Dubai UAE is hiring a Food Safety Supervisor with the following:

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor food safety practices across all operations to ensure compliance with health regulations and internal standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of food handling areas to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for staff on food safety protocols and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of food safety procedures, incidents, and corrective measures taken.
  • Lead investigations into food safety incidents and implement preventive measures to avoid future occurrences.
  • Stay updated on local, state, and federal food safety regulations to ensure the organization remains compliant.
  • Facilitate communication between departments regarding food safety initiatives, concerns, and improvements.
  • Assist in the development of emergency response plans related to food safety issues, including recalls and contamination events.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements in food safety systems and practices to enhance overall operational efficiency.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field is preferred to ensure a strong foundational knowledge.
  • Certification in Food Safety Management Systems (e.g., HACCP, ServSafe) is essential for demonstrating expertise.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in food safety within a commercial kitchen or food production environment.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance and knowledge of local and national food safety laws is critical.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is a significant advantage for diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess risks and devise effective food safety strategies are a must.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and motivate staff on food safety practices.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage documentation and compliance records effectively.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high standards.
