A Recruitment Consultant company is hiring a Food Safety Specialist in Saudi Arabia Location with the following:

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all processed products and conditions comply with regulatory requirements and applicable laws.
  • Inspection of incoming starting materials including for example row meat, chicken, and fish
  • Ensuring proper storage conditions for raw materials, bulk, and final products.
  • Performing daily inspections and reporting on unsanitary, unsafe, or hazardous conditions affecting food safety and quality.
  • • Performing inspections, writing reports to the quality manager and following up the corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensuring proper labelling of produced food and its compliance with the regulatory requirements and applicable laws.Developing and following up on the equipment qualification, process validation and environmental conditions.
  • Monitoring workstations (food cutting, cooking, filling and heat treatment either frozen or retorting) in compliance with approved standard operating procedures
  • Providing training for employees about sanitation procedures, food safety and quality.
  • Coordination for regulatory inspection, external auditing and certification auditing.
  • Collaboration in developing the batch production record forms.
  • Reviewing and approval of the standard operating procedure used in the whole workflow including productions SOP, quality control SOP, etc.
  • Controlling the documents and implementing change control procedures.
  • Reviewing and approving the batch production record and batch release.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, major in biology, chemistry, microbiology, environmental health or some other scientific area.
  • 3-4 years in food industries and recommended to be in the manufacturing of ready-to-eat food.
  • Training certificate on ISO 22000 and related FSSC and HACCP
  • Establishing and implementing the requirements of food GMP.
  • Establishing and implementing the requirements of ISO 22000 and related FSSC and HACCP.
