Job Responsibilities

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Food Safety, providing technical guidance on food safety systems, regulatory compliance, and best practices.
  • Develop, review, and deliver food safety training programs, workshops, and presentations for food industry professionals, students, and internal teams.
  • Conduct classroom, virtual, and on-site training sessions on topics such as HACCP, GMP, GHP, ISO 22000, FSSAI regulations, hygiene practices, and food contamination control.
  • Prepare training materials, presentations, manuals, SOPs, and assessment tools in line with industry and regulatory standards.
  • Support organizations in implementing and maintaining Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS).
  • Perform food safety audits, gap assessments, and compliance evaluations as required.
  • Provide expert advice on food hygiene, sanitation, allergen management, and risk assessment.
  • Stay updated with the latest food safety regulations, standards, and industry trends, and integrate them into training content.

  • Coordinate with clients, institutions, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
  • Participate in seminars, webinars, and conferences as a food safety presenter or trainer.
  • Assist in content creation for food safety articles, training modules, and technical documentation.
  • Maintain accurate training records, reports, and feedback documentation.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related life sciences field.
  • Proven experience as a Food Safety Professional, Trainer, or Subject Matter Specialist.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, GHP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, FSSAI regulations, and food safety standards.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex food safety concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills, with confidence in delivering training sessions to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated training and facilitation skills, both in-person and online.
  • Ability to develop engaging PowerPoint presentations, training content, and learning materials.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to food safety and compliance.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple training programs and projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools and online training platforms.
  • Willingness to travel locally for training and audit assignments, if required.
  • Professional certification in HACCP, ISO 22000, or Food Safety Training will be an added advantage.
