Sodexo Services in Doha Qatar is hiring a Food Safety Officer with the following:
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee and ensure the safety and quality of food products throughout the production and distribution process.
- Ensure the implementation of food safety management systems (FSMS).
- Conduct inspections and train staff on food safety practices.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international food safety regulations.
- Monitor practices to prevent contamination, foodborne illnesses, and other safety risks.
- Ensure food production, catering, and food services comply with statutory and company HSE&Q standards, policies, and procedures.
- Educate staff on proper HSE&Q and HACCP standards in operations.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, and prepare detailed reports.
- Ensure corrective measures are implemented.
- Maintain and coordinate the company food safety program to comply with legal requirements, country rules, company, and client guidelines.
- Coordinate and assist with technical training for management and employees on food safety program aspects such as:
- Pest control.
- Environmental and operational methods.
- Personnel practices and maintenance for food safety.
- Hygiene and cleaning practices.
- Conduct food supplier audits to assess HACCP systems for Sodexo and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Liaise with local authority inspectors and enforcement officials as required.
- Coordinate the development of the department’s food safety program and ensure compliance, including performing internal audits.
- Foster good working relationships across departments under the food safety program.
- Maintain accurate registers, records, and documentation related to food safety in Sodexo.
- Collaborate closely with other safety roles within the company.
Job Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in food technology, hotel management, or a related field.
- Experience in conducting audits and investigations.
- Strong report-writing skills.
- Fluent communication in English is essential.
- HACCP qualifications and training.
- NEBOSH qualifications and training.
- Excellent organizational, time management, independent work, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
