Food Safety Officer Restaurant vacancy for a Restaurant Chain in Dubai, UAE, with the following:

Job Responsibilities – Food Safety Officer Restaurant

  • Conduct Routine Food Safety Inspections:
    Perform daily and scheduled inspections across restaurant outlets to evaluate hygiene practices, facility cleanliness, temperature monitoring, pest control, and overall compliance with UAE Food Code.
  • Support Internal & External Audits:
    Assist in preparing outlets for Dubai Municipality/Third-Party audits, participate during assessments, and support corrective and preventive action (CAPA) implementation.
  • Implement Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS):
    Oversee and ensure proper implementation of HACCP, PIC requirements, and Lavoya’s internal food safety policies across all branches.
  • Monitor Food Handling and Hygiene Practices:Food Safety Officer Restaurant Dubai
    Verify proper receiving, storage, thawing, cooking, cooling, and holding practices. Ensure staff follow personal hygiene standards and safe food-handling procedures.
  • Training & Awareness:
    Conduct basic food safety training, toolbox talks, and refreshers for restaurant teams to strengthen compliance and drive food safety culture.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    Maintain accurate inspection records, temperature logs, cleaning schedules, and audit reports. Prepare summary reports with findings and recommendations.
  • Non-Conformance Management:
    Identify deviations, raise non-conformity reports, and coordinate with operations teams for timely corrective actions.
  • Support New Outlet Openings:
    Ensure readiness of new stores by reviewing kitchen layout, equipment suitability, supplier approvals, and food safety documentation before launch.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 Years of Experience in a similar role within the restaurant or F&B industry (UAE experience preferred).
  • HACCP Level 3 Certification and PIC Certification are mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE Food Code, municipality guidelines, and best food safety practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with kitchen and operations teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation abilities.
  • Valid UAE Driving License required for multi-site travel across outlets.
