Food Safety Officer vacancy for a Restaurants Dubai, UAE location oversee food safety and hygiene standards across a multicuisine restaurant operations in Dubai. The ideal candidate will ensure full compliance with Dubai Municipality Food Code, HACCP, and international food safety standards while promoting a strong food safety culture within the organisation.
Responsibilities
Food Safety Inspections & Audits
- Conduct regular food safety and hygiene inspections of kitchens, storage areas, food preparation zones, equipment, and service areas.
- Identify potential food safety hazards, contamination risks, and non-conformities across all restaurant operations.
- Perform internal food safety audits in line with HACCP principles and Dubai Municipality requirements.
- Ensure proper implementation of GMP, GHP, and SOPs across multicuisine food outlets.
2. Regulatory Compliance & Standards Implementation
- Ensure strict compliance with Dubai Municipality Food Code, HACCP, ISO 22000, and other relevant UAE food safety regulations.
- Coordinate with Dubai Municipality during routine inspections and audits.
- Monitor food labeling, traceability, allergen management, and shelf-life controls.
- Stay updated with local and international food safety regulations and implement changes as required.
3. Training & Food Safety Awareness
- Conduct food safety and hygiene training programs for kitchen staff, chefs, service teams, and new employees.
- Deliver training on personal hygiene, cross-contamination prevention, temperature control, cleaning and sanitation, and allergen management.
- Evaluate staff compliance with food safety practices and recommend refresher training when needed.

4. Documentation & Record Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date food safety records, including inspection reports, temperature logs, cleaning schedules, pest control reports, and corrective action reports.
- Ensure proper documentation for HACCP plans, CCP monitoring, and verification activities.
- Prepare reports for management review and regulatory inspections.

5. Incident Management & Corrective Actions
- Investigate food safety incidents, customer complaints, and non-conformities.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and ensure closure within defined timelines.
6. Continuous Improvement & Risk Management
- Identify opportunities to improve food safety systems and operational procedures.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance hygiene, efficiency, and compliance across multicuisine kitchens.
- Support management in developing a proactive food safety culture within restaurant operations.
