A Job Consulatnt Company in UAE is looking for a Food Safety Officer for Fujairah Location with the following:Consultant

Job Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Compliance:
    Ensure strict adherence to local and international food safety regulations, including HACCP, ISO 22000, and municipal health guidelines.
  • Inspection & Monitoring:
    Conduct routine hygiene inspections across kitchen, storage, and service areas to assess cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety practices.
  • Risk Management:
    Identify food safety hazards and implement immediate corrective and preventive actions to mitigate risks.
  • System Maintenance:
    Maintain, review, and continuously update the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) documentation, records, and SOPs.
  • Staff Training:
    Conduct regular training sessions for kitchen and service staff on personal hygiene, cross-contamination prevention, allergen awareness, and safe food handling.

  • Process Control:
    Monitor food flow from receiving through storage, preparation, and service, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards at every step.
  • Sanitation Oversight:
    Supervise cleaning procedures and uphold strict sanitation protocols and pest control measures in food handling areas.
  • Allergen Management:
    Ensure accurate labeling of allergens, enforce cross-contact prevention protocols, and maintain awareness of dietary restrictions among residents or guests.
  • Incident Handling:
    Respond to food safety incidents promptly, investigate root causes, and coordinate with health authorities for resolution when necessary.
  • Professional Conduct:
    Maintain a high standard of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism, particularly when operating in sensitive or secure environments.
  • Cultural Sensitivity:
    Respect and accommodate cultural, religious, and personal dietary preferences of all clients and guests.
  • Team Collaboration:
    Work closely with chefs, kitchen supervisors, and operations managers to ensure food safety is integrated into every part of the service delivery.
  • Event Support:
    Assist in planning and implementing food safety measures for special events, banquets, and VIP functions.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging food safety technologies to proactively enhance existing systems and practices.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background:
    A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Public Health, or a closely related discipline is required.
  • Certifications:
    Must hold recognized certifications in Food Safety, such as HACCP, ISO 22000, or equivalent international standards. A valid Food Hygiene Certificate is mandatory.
  • Additional Training:
    Formal training in allergen control, sanitation practices, or environmental hygiene is highly preferred.
  • Licensing:
    A valid driver’s license is required if the role involves travel between sites or external audits.
  • Professional Experience:
    A minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience in food safety or quality assurance, preferably within luxury hospitality, institutional catering, or high-end food service environments.
  • Specialized Experience:
    Prior work experience in high-security, VIP, or governmental facilities is considered an added advantage.
  • Technical Skills:
    Demonstrated expertise in conducting food safety audits, training food handlers, and monitoring regulatory compliance.
