Seeking a qualified and experienced Food Safety Officer in Dubai to join a catering Unit.. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all food handling, preparation, production, and storage operations meet local and international food safety standards. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in HACCP implementation, ISO 22000 compliance, food hygiene, and quality assurance within the UAE food industry.
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor, implement, and enforce food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards across all departments, ensuring compliance with Dubai Municipality food safety regulations, HACCP, ISO 22000, and GMP standards.
- Conduct regular food safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments of production areas, kitchens, storage facilities, and distribution points to identify potential hazards and non-conformities.
- Develop, maintain, and review HACCP plans, SOPs, and food safety policies to ensure strict adherence to national and international food safety regulations.
- Investigate food safety incidents, contamination risks, and hygiene breaches, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
- Organize, deliver, and track food safety training and hygiene awareness programs for staff, ensuring compliance with proper food handling, personal hygiene, and sanitation practices.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including inspection reports, monitoring checklists, audit findings, and compliance documentation for internal audits and regulatory inspections.
- Liaise with municipality inspectors, health authorities, and certification bodies during audits, inspections, and certification processes to ensure seamless compliance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing food safety culture, minimizing risks, and improving operational efficiency across the organization.
- Stay updated on local and international food safety regulations, ISO standards, HACCP guidelines, and industry best practices, applying this knowledge to maintain top-level compliance.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or hygiene management within the UAE food industry.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, and Dubai Municipality food safety regulations.
- Proven experience in conducting food safety audits, inspections, risk assessments, and root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication and training skills to educate staff and drive a strong food safety culture.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working in fast-paced food production or catering environments.
