Responsibilities
- Oversee adherence to local, state, and federal food safety regulations.
- Implement industry best practices for a safe kitchen environment.
- Regularly inspect kitchen facilities, equipment, and food prep areas.
- Identify and resolve potential health and safety hazards promptly.
- Develop and enforce robust food safety protocols.
- Conduct training sessions to ensure staff compliance with safety guidelines. Monitor staff personal hygiene practices.
- Maintain sanitation standards per industry regulations.
- Investigate and resolve reported food safety incidents promptly.
- Collaborate with teams to implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections and incidents. Generate regular reports for management on safety performance and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Food and Safety Officer or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP principles.
- Strong communication and training abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
- Relevant certifications in food safety and sanitation.
