A Premium Cafe and Restaurants Group in Dubai, UAE is looking for a Food Safety Inspector with the following:

Job Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with Dubai Municipality food safety standards, HACCP principles, and UAE food safety regulations.
- Conduct routine hygiene inspections across production, preparation, storage, and service areas.
- Verify proper food handling practices, including cooking, cooling, holding, and storage.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, logs, and food safety records to support audit requirements.
- Ensure adherence to internal hygiene policies and approved operating procedures.
- Deliver food safety, personal hygiene, and sanitation training to kitchen and service teams.
- Foster a strong food safety culture through continuous awareness and reinforcement of best practices.
- Provide onboarding food safety training for new employees and ensure understanding of SOPs.
Hygiene Monitoring
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, audit findings, and recommended corrective actions for management review.
- Investigate food safety incidents, complaints, contamination risks, or non-conformities.
- Ensure timely implementation and follow-up of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Conduct internal audits to assess compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Ensure all incoming raw materials meet required food safety and quality specifications.
- Monitor cold chain integrity, including temperature controls during receiving, storage, and handling.
- Verify product labeling, expiry dates, and strict adherence to FIFO and FEFO practices.
- Inspect storage areas for cleanliness, pest control issues, and proper stock rotation.
- Coordinate with Dubai Municipality inspectors during official inspections, audits, and visits.
- Support the renewal and maintenance of all food safety permits, certifications, and approvals.
- Stay updated on changes in UAE food regulations and communicate requirements to the team.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Food Science, Microbiology, Public Health, or a related discipline (preferred).
- HACCP Level 3 / Food Safety certification is mandatory.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Food Safety Inspector or similar role in hospitality, catering, or F&B operations.
- Strong understanding of UAE Food Code, Dubai Municipality regulations, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for training and regulatory coordination.
- Strong reporting, documentation, and analytical skills.
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities.
