A travel company based in Dubai, UAE is looking for a Food Safety and Hygiene Manager with the following:
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive food safety and hygiene programs.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal food safety regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of the facility to identify and address potential food safety hazards.
- Monitor and document food safety and hygiene practices to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Investigate and resolve food safety issues, including contamination and foodborne illness incidents.
- Provide training and education to staff on food safety and hygiene practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure food safety and quality standards are met throughout the supply chain.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to food safety inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes in food safety and hygiene.
- Lead the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives in food safety and hygiene practices.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities during inspections and ensure prompt resolution of any non-compliance issues.
Qualifications
- Certified in HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), ISO 22000, or other relevant food safety certifications.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a food safety, quality assurance, or similar role in the [industry, e.g., food manufacturing, hospitality] sector.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and standards, including FDA, USDA, and local health department requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and train a team effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with food safety management software.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during inspections.
